As the parent of a teenager, you may remember the days when you could hold your child on your lap and they would not stop talking! Those days may be long gone, but you can still find ways to get your teenager to talk and really start to connect.
Many parents find it difficult to communicate with their teenagers. Snooping and spying on them is not communication! An open, trusted relationship is the best way to keep your teenagers out of danger.
Here are a few tips you can try to build open communication with your teens:
1. Start young. Build a good relationship with your children when they are young. You may find them trying to pull away once they hit a certain age, but just keep at it.
2. Find common ground. To get your teen to talk, first find out what your teenager is interested in. Find out what music they listen to, what concerts they would like to go, what sports team they support. That way, you can ask your child about a band’s new album rather than the same old “how was school?”
3. Be open to what they say. Often people dismiss a teenager’s opinion without even listening to why and where it originated. Do not be judgemental, just listen. If they feel you are going to listen when they talk, they’ll be more likely to come to you if they have a problem.
4. Spend more together. Spending time with somebody shows them that you are interested in them and you are willing to invest in them. Set up a specific time every week to spend time with your teen. You may not want to, but if you want to have open communication, spending time with them is one vital action you need to take. Do something they would like to do, go to a concert, go shopping, bring them to see a football match or a car show.
5. Do not tell their stories! Have you ever overheard a parent loudly laughing about what their child just told them? If you want your teenager to openly talk with you, do not laugh with your friends about what they just said. This will make them reluctant to tell you anything

What kind of people would you have on the show ?
Ummmmm…..I’d call it " Talk Dirty To Me " and I would have on all kinds of people and ask the questions that everyone wants to hear about….not the same old stuff Leno keeps asking..we’d get the real dirt on what is going on in Hollywood, and with politicians. And no question would be off limits.

Exhibiting at trade and consumer shows can be extremely rewarding – or extremely costly. This is the first in a series of articles exploring what it takes to make “shows” really work for you – and some things to avoid too! The information is as relevant and effective in London, New York, Sydney or Auckland as it is in Beijing, New Delhi, Abu Dhabi and Buenos Aires.
1. Establish your purpose for exhibiting at a trade show.
Take time to sit down and think about why you are exhibiting and what you hope to achieve from the trade show. Make sure that all of the people working on the booth are aware of your aims and that you set out a plan for all to follow.
2. Choose the right trade show.
Don’t just go to any trade show. Does the show attract the correct people for your products or services? Does it have the proper attendance to justify your costs? Call the trade show promoter to obtain a list of previous show attendees. Call a small sample (5-10) of your target accounts to see if they will be going the show. If all the answers are positive, it is might be worth your time.
3. Set your trade show budget and how you will use it.
Work out how much your business is willing to spend, prepare a written budget and record your expenses for review after the trade show.
4. Let people know that you are attending the trade show.
Depending on your budget, contact potential target companies, as well as current clients before the trade show. Send a quick note letting target companies know your company will be exhibiting, what the booth number is, where your trade show booth is located and what their benefits will be if they stop by your booth.
5. Create an effective booth.
Talk to a specialist trade show display company like Exhibitek Displays for advice on what sort of display or display packages could be put together to best display your business to potential clients. Choose effective banners, images, graphics and headlines. Your business will have only a few seconds, sometimes as little as 10 seconds, to catch the attention of a show visitor. Make it easy for visitors to enter your booth space and obtain the information they need.
6. Visit your trade show booth before the show starts.
Think like a first time visitor and “visit” your booth just like a trade show attendee will do. Take an objective look at your booth and ask yourself if you would be attracted to the display and would you actually remember your booth.
7. Record visitor interest and important contact information.
If you have successfully attracted people to your booth, you need to record their contact information and what they were individually interested in, especially as it is one of the products or services your company offers.
8. Don’t forget to follow-up your trade show leads.
Far too many companies fail to follow up every lead they get at a trade show exhibition. How many times have you left your card and never had a call back? It’s insulting and you certainly aren’t going to ring them if they were supposed to ring you first.

From the archives of NATv, here’s a brief excerpt from one of Ninoy’s most memorable public appearances as a special guest of the talk show “Face The Nation” with Sri Lankan host and Marcos loyalist Ronnie Nathanielsz. This excerpt came from the full version of “Ninoy: The Heart and The Soul” documentary of the late Teodoro C. Benigno.
On March 10, 1978 during the election season for the Interim Batasan Assembly, Lakas ng Bayan (LABAN) candidate Ninoy Aquino was surprisingly allowed by the dictator to appear before the talk show “Face The Nation” along with three other panelists from the Marcos camp.
Since Ninoy was never allowed to campaign outside his prison cell, he made the most of his television appearance with his usual charm, audacity and articulation to counter all of the panelists accusations, including Nathanielsz himself, and gain the sympathy of the viewers.
It was said that the guest appearance of Ninoy was the talk show’s highest rated episode ever.

Or if he didn’t was there anyone who tried to portray him as the Joker at a talk show/tv appearance, Please list all examples you know of this
Thanks it’s just been bugging me.
No, unfortunately there was no interview or appearances.
Normally, Studios don’t have the actors do heavy promotions until a week prior to the premier opening. This is a marketing strategy that keeps people guessing about the film and generates alot of hype.

Cats make wonderful pets, and although they are traditionally very independent animals, they can also be very affectionate. The best way of gaining her love is to first show her that you love her. This article aims to give you some tried and proven techniques.
These techniques tend to work best with young cats, but if your cat is older, don’t despair- it may just take longer, so be patient with her. Use caution at all times, and be prepared to try again another day if she backs away or shows signs of fear. Until she has become used to you, always let her approach you rather than force attention upon her.
Cats will greet each other by rubbing heads or noses; obviously you may not want to rub noses, but you can get her used to having your head near her. Pet her and wait until she is in a relaxed and happy state, and then gradually move your head nearer to her; there is no need to talk whilst you do this, although some people find it helps to make small purring noises. Get down to her level; if you are standing up, towering over her, she can find this threatening. Crouch down if needs be- don’t loom over her as she will find this intimidating.
Some people like to nuzzle their cat, as this is how cats show affection to others. If you want to do this, start by gently breathing on her neck, and progress to gentle nuzzling movements round her head and neck. Exercise caution, however, as she could nip you if startled.
Cats love to play, even older cats, so make time each day to play with her. They love small, light balls, feathers, or anything which can be dangled, but don’t let them play with string or rubber bands unsupervised as these can be swallowed.
Some cats like to be groomed, others hate it- be prepared to experiment. If your cat enjoys this, it can be a source of pleasure for both of you. Never force her into being groomed however, and be prepared to stop when she has had enough or this will cease to be a pleasurable experience for her.
Talk to her often; let her get used to the sound of your voice. Use soft, quiet tones. Some cats prefer high pitched sounds; again, don’t be afraid to experiment.
With a little time, the bond between you and your cat could be closer than ever.
