What would have happened if talk show host Alex Jones said he would pay for the bullets to kill someone who was going to send information to the troops about anti-gun legislation?

He would, of course, be subjected to a different standard of justice than Reagan.

They would find a way to label him a "terrorist" and subject him to all possible remedies for dealing with "terrorists", including torture.

Reagan must be held accountable for his statements. Enough is enough.

So, the reason there aren’t any hugely-popular liberal radio talk-show hosts is this?

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Because liberals don’t need to be told what to think?

Because there aren’t any liberals out there who want to make millions of dollars hosting a hugely-popular radio talk-show?

Or, alternatively, is it because liberal talk-show programming fails to draw enough advertising revenue (or audience) to keep itself afloat?

Why bother listening to it when you can support Huffington Post, The Daily KOS, moveon.org and hang out at the Democrat Underground for your hourly updates of daily smears and debunked lies?

Besides, we all know that they listen to conservative talk shows and watch FOX News. We hear enough about it, don’t we?

Oh and I just LOVE the "we think for ourselves" bit… HA!

How do talk show hosts master their conversational skills?

Friday, January 15th, 2010

Most good talk show hosts (i.e., Conan Obrien, Jay Leno, David Letterman, John Stewart) have excellent social skills, unshakeable confidence, and a great sense of humor. They can talk to anyone and make people feel good.

What’s their trick? How do they practice? whats the secret??

There is no secret, it’s just lots of practice! Have lots of conversations with people, even people you wouldn’t normally converse with. When you listen to peoples stories on a regular basis, is becomes rather hard to be shaken by what people say. Confidence comes from experience. A great sense of humour is often from their personal life. That, and some of us are just damn funny ;)

Are conservative talk show hosts hurting the market more than Obama?

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Wall Street is dominated by conservatives. Would the market be in as bad a shape if conservative talk show hosts weren’t spinning everything Obama does in the worst possible light? Who is really responsible for the fears investors have?

Probably. They are so negative. It’s all about doom and gloom with them. Saying no. It’s not going to work etc. etc. Fear mongering and praying that President Obama will fail. @~

How do you become a talk show host?

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

i was just wondering how one would go about getting a talk show? would you need to contact tv channels or what?

Good question. Don’t know for sure, but have heard that it is a combination of experience and who you know! Many of these talk show hosts were News Journalists, or working in tv would help, but you would have to be smart, book wise, school wise, and street wise. And then it would sure help if you knew someone in the business. I have seen on some of these web-sites, like cbs.com where there is usually a place to go for a career in broadcast. But I think you need schooling in the field. I hope that someone else knows more. Sorry, just trying to help make your dream come true. The old expression comes to mind here, where there is a will, there is a way Good luck to you

What do radio talk show hosts use mixers for?

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

I know what music producers use mixing boards for, but what do radio talk show hosts like Don Imus use them for?

Jonas The Mixer is the brain of the radio show. All the equipment gets plugged into this device, for example, the microphone, headphones, external audio, etc. It is usually ran by the Dj’s and one other person. Almost everything you hear except live guests goes through the mixer.

Can you get free stuff from asking talk show hosts for it?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I really want an ipod touch but it is waaaayyyy too expensive for my mom to afford. Is it possible to ask talk show hosts for it? I would like to ask Ellen or Tyra. They give away so much free stuff. I don’t think an ipod touch would be too much to ask.

Don’t count on it.
Find a way to earn some money and get your own.

So is the economy booming as the AM radio talk show hosts claim?

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Boortz and the other millionaire talk show hosts claim non-stop that the economy is booming. Yet if you ask the average middle class person, or look at the dismal performance of the stock markets, you’ll see a different story.

Are these talk show hosts wrong? Do they have no concept of reality, or are they right?

AM talk show hosts are so biased that it’s not even funny. They would LOVE to sit in their radio stations and side with Bush all day, pretending like this nation is bigger and better than ever…but it’s suffering, and the middle class knows that all too well. The rich are becoming richer, the poor poorer, and the middle class is vanishing all together. With all the recent flooding, prices of crops will skyrocket through the roofs. The price of gas doesn’t even need to be spoken of, we’re all feeling the pain. And now Bush is talking about starting up Off-shore drilling again. It would take at LEAST five years to start the drilling, at which point in time it is predicted gas prices would drop a total of (approx.) 15 cent/gallon. Which is ridiculous, because the cost of Off-shore drilling itself would be astounding! Putting the nation even further in debt.

Those talk show hosts have been smokin’ something…

Do you think that most TV talk show hosts and news reporters interrupt their guests too often ?

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

It seem the guest only gets out about one sentence, before he or she is interrupted, either by question or some comment. It’s very aggravating if your interested in what the guest has to say.

I totally agree. It’s very frustrating when the host asks the guest a question and then cuts them off before they’ve had a chance to complete it. I want to hear the answer to the question! I emailed a popular morning show host to let her know that she needed to relax a little and let her guest answer her questions. She must have taken my suggestion, because she is much better about it now.
