a guest on a tv talk show claims that "major depressive disorder is not a psychological problem; its a disease that can be medically treated." evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of this claim
PLEASE HELP I HAVE A TEST TOM…thanx
I am not entirely sure what this person is trying to say. Depression is a psychological problem and like other psychological problems can be medically treated… I don’t see any strengths to this claim, but weaknesses.
Anxiety is a psychological disorder and is medically treatable.
Schizophrenia… I guess I don’t understand why they would think a real psychological problem can’t be medically treated? Do you have a reference of the show so that we can see the context?

This guy got invited onto a tv talk show by his best friend, and it turned out his friend was gay and in love with this guy. The guy got so pissed off that after the talk show was over, when they went back home he ended up killing his gay ex-best friend.

One, two ot three of the political analyst will be enough.
What TV talk show panel? Network?
I have only seen people on NBC and ABC with any regularity. George Will is consistently thoughtful and interesting on ABC, even when you don’t agree with him. NBC has a pretty wide range of people, although I always like it when Chuck Todd of their staff or author Doris Kearns Goodwin (you just can’t stump her on history) comes on.
David Gergen is the fairest of the bunch. He did a lot of election work for CNN, but has popped up elsewhere.
